Lover's beach and Divorce beach

At the end of the beach where we are staying is a huge outcropping of rocks that we were told you could climb over to get to Lover's Beach or Divorce Beach (not the same beach, but I was never able to tell which one it actually was).  I convinced Stevie to walk down the beach with me one morning before it got too hot so that we could see this fabled beach.  He agreed and we set off - him toting his fishing pole and me a back pack of water and a camera.

When we got to the end, Stevie quickly surmised that this kind of rock climbing was not for him with his bad knees and back so I was left reading on the beach while he fished a while.  I'll admit it though, I was not a happy camper, my sense of adventure was dying to know what was on the other side of those rocks!

After he threw his rod out a couple of times, Stevie suggested that I try and climb over myself.  I really didn't want to go all the way to the other beach by myself, but I did think it would be fun to scale to the top to peek.

I first tried to climb with shoes, but quickly found that the monkey approach - ie. barefoot on all fours - was the better plan.  It was fun and in no time I made it to the top to see...another beach equal in all ways to the one we were standing on.  Oh well, it was an adventure!

Half way up

Almost at the top - see the little turquoise dot?

Monkey woman!
