Tubing

A few weeks ago, on a gorgeous hot day, our neighbors, Becky and Paul Hildebrand, invited us out on their boat and it was so much fun.  They promised to have us out again some time and that invitation came Friday afternoon.  The phone rang while I was sitting in the pick up line for school and Becky said they were going to launch the boat and would we like to go?  Yes!!!  Well, turned out that was an enthusiastic yes from me and the boys while Grammie, Stevie and Emmy declined (for various reasons - Stevie was post-call and tired, Emmy doesn't like to go fast on boats and Grammie did want to mess her hair up).

So Cannon, London and I quickly changed into our suits (it was 85 degrees and sunny) and headed down to the dock.  The last time we went out, the Hildebrands didn't have their tube with them so Cannon tried water skiing.  This time they brought the tube and wetsuits (very much needed)!

Cannon was the first to try the tube and he loved it - quickly giving the signal to go faster and then try "s's" (so he could cross the wake).

London still wasn't sure if he wanted to try so I went next. Woohoo! It was fun! (No pictures of me because I am the photographer...)

By the time I got back on the boat, London was ready to try it.

We spent two hours taking turns and having lots of fun.  We also saw several seals popping their head out of the water and a few porpoises breaching (they're rare to see around here).  It was a beautiful way to end their first week of school and probably the last time to get in the water until next summer!
