Day 4 - Dunham Massey

Lindsey and Phil were both off work today so they offered to take me out to an estate and garden called Dunham Massey.  The idea was to go for a tour of the hall and the Military Hospital that was there and for a walk around the gardens, but it turned out that the hall was closed on Thursdays for cleaning.  Bummer!

The grounds, however, were open so we had a little stroll until it started raining, then had a lovely lunch in the refurbished stables.  After lunch, Lindsey and I had another little walk through the grounds.  It was a really beautiful place and I was sad that we didn't get to see the exhibit on the Military Hospital during World War I.

There were a lot of really tame deer

After Dunham Massey, we stopped by Matthew and Tamsin's house to visit with them.  Sandra, Sally and Thomas also came by for a mini-party.
