I was invited to a birthday celebration for neighbor and friend, Lisa. She celebrated by having a group a women get together at an art class in Tacoma. The idea was that the resident artists taught us how to replicate a famous painting. This class happened to be Picasso's Cat and Mouse. It was a really fun night which was topped off by a crazy drive home.
It started snowing as we were driving to Tacoma and none of us really paid much attention as it continued to snow and
stick while we were painting. The trouble is, Tacoma doesn't really have much in the way of snow plows or salt so the roads became really treacherous really fast. I was riding with Lisa and her friend and we got stuck trying to go up the hills of the streets of Tacoma! After trying several times to get up a hill, we finally slid down and attempted to put chains on her tires. We tried several times and not a single person stopped to help us. Lisa and her friend were about to give up, but I was DETERMINED to get those blasted chains on. Finally, I had success and we crawled home going 30 miles an hour! What an ending to our night out.
