The Honeyhorn Plantation is a beautiful, idyllic spot that still has one of the original plantation houses on Hilton Head. Nowadays, it's a museum and art gallery for the low-country.
They also host educational programs and on Wednesdays during the summer they have "Critter Management". Yes, this is an actual company that comes and helps the residents of Hilton Head "manage" their critters.
My parents have had them out to the house several times over the years for squirrels and water rats and the like. But these guys are like the original "Gator Boys" and also do a lot of "relocating" of pesty alligators from the lagoons around the island. In fact, currently Critter Management is being penalized because of the failed relocation of a love-lorn alligator named Big Al...but that's a story for another time.
Emmy, London and my mom went into the Critter Management show while Cannon and I walked the grounds of the former plantation. Apparently, Emmy and London were not the least bit scared of the snakes and alligators, and in fact Emmy was quite taken by a little corn snake.
